海邊散落的塑膠們,正以其獨特的方式「融入」自然。
譬如外表與鵝軟石相似的焦化塑膠(pyroplastic),這種石頭看似普通卻是由聚乙烯、聚丙烯等材料受熱後組成;還有因為人為的高溫,讓塑膠和石頭結合而成的膠礫岩(plastiglomerate)。
「漂浮的岩層」則是用廢棄保麗龍模擬石頭,並採用彈性支架使作品如同漂浮物般隨風擺動,讓緩緩的海風表現出塑膠材質的輕巧,與其對環境的沉重。
Plastics scattered along the shore are “integrating” into nature in their unique way.
For example, pyroplastic resembles pebbles but is made from heated materials like polyethylene and polypropylene. Plastiglomerate forms from the combination of plastic and stone due to high human-induced temperatures.
The “floating rock layer” uses discarded Styrofoam to mimic stones, supported elastically to sway like floating objects in the wind, showcasing the lightweight nature of plastic alongside its heavy environmental impact.
