“Turns out this is the view from 1,250 feet high.”
This is the most memorable line I’ve found. “The View from 1,250 Feet” is inspired by paratroopers’ first jump training, depicting what they see when jumping from the transport plane at the Chaozhou parachuting field. The work is divided into two pieces, capturing five basic jumps day and night, installed on the walls beside the restaurant podium.
I believe paratroopers are those who practice embracing the earth. Copper wire parachutes are scattered throughout the landscape, wishing each paratrooper a safe return to the ground.
